See how my pinkie doesn’t naturally align with my wrist anymore? Nor does it bend the other way like it used to. That’s my DeQuervain’s tenasynovitis (aka irritated tendon sheaths) caused by - in my case- the repetitive action of picking up my baby girl. And “locking her in” my arms by bending and putting pressure on my wrists.
I was advised by my physio to take tumeric in my food or in tumeric capsules. I took a few caps, only to learn it slowed down my breast milk production! Please be careful if you are going to use tumeric capsules. I researched it and found most info sources say to not take them.
So back I went to ibuprophen. I don’t LIKE taking a pill, especially while breastfeeding. But my inflammation gets painful - wrists & knees - I absolutely must take steps to help heal it.
It’s odd how something natural harms the breast milk, but a OTC pain reliever is okay. Same with sugar-free sweeteners. I find stevia etc., tinny tasting in pregnancy and breastfeeding, but Sucralose - in low moderation - doesn’t bother me. And it’s recommended before stevia, by maternity doctors, etc., because it hasn’t been studied long enough.

I don’t always prep vegs for the week, but when I do it’s because Im bad ass.
I’m into week 7 of this challenge and my food prep had extended to include my vegs. Usually I leave them and clean/chop the day I eat them. But it cuts time away from my day or eve which I could spend with family. I want this new habit to stick! P.S. the protein bars are #strawberry flavored for a change!
